i gave out progress reports (with comments) to all 32 of my students today, and i wrote 5 more pages of my thesis tonight!!!!
it may not seem like a lot to you, but it is, especially the writing.
i had really hit a slump and i think this might just have been what i needed to get going.
p.s. this message also is meant to serve as an apology to the people i have been neglecting...i will call you back, i promise, i am just crazy right now.

more "least favorite things" to add since the last post:
1. being sick, 2.calling for a substitute (see # 1), 3. worrying all day while being sick because my class is with a substitute (seriously...i'm starting to worry that when i have kids, I'll never be able to leave them with a babysitter).
some "favorite things":
1. looks on students faces when then see that their teacher (me!) is back after they've had a sub...awesome, just awesome.
on a completely different note:

in case you were wondering, working on report cards is now officially my least favorite thing to do (which is why i am choosing to come on line and complain about them instead of continuing to work)...however, i predict that meeting with parents to discuss said reports may soon take the lead...
